It is interesting to listen to the law of Moses and to know that still today, in some respects, people are still following this law. Thousands of years later. For most Christians, we believe that Jesus was the final sacrifice and no need to follow the laws of Moses anymore but even that was 1600 years difference. Jew of the land followed that Law for 1600 years. It's now easier to understand how when Jesus showed up it was easy for them to not necessarily believe what he was saying. If Jesus showed up today saying what he was saying then, I know a lot of people would be skeptical.
What I found fascinating is that when the people who came to Aaron to build an idol, he didn't even fight them he just said give me your Gold and throw it into the fire and they worshiped whatever came out of it. This angered God so much that he was just ready to wipe them out and start over with Moses. These are the same people who just got freed from slavery watching the mighty works of God and they are already complaining because Moses is taking too long. These people JUST made a covenant with God a few chapters ago. The concept of Moses begging with God for his mercy on the people is interesting to me. The full and honest just talking that he was able to do with God was amazing.
One part that I loved seeing was that when Moses would go to talk to God he was talking to him face to face. But the presence of God was so much that Moses would come back glowing. Imagine spending time so close to God and having absorbed so much of his radiance that you are now glowing. That is just amazing.
It was great to show when everybody had to give up and help to make the Tabernacle. But they didn't just choose who was available to do the time and had time. They asked for every skillful man to come, and for all the Skilled women to come and sew up the cloth, and those who didn't have the skill brought the materials. I feel like that is the definition of using your skills to help. There are differences in skilled work and nonskilled but that doesn't mean that any of them are any less valuable. But skilled work needs to have skilled people so that we can produce excellence for Him.
We need to spent more time in the presence of the Lord; so that we can glow like Moses did. Stay in the word and prayer. Blessings ❤️
